Everybody Wants To Be A Cat

I HAVE A MONDAY OFF! Hooray!

I'm excited because I have had three days off in a row: luxury! I might have nearly burned Kitten Towers to the ground yesterday morning (an accident I swear! Must get home and contents insurance...) but I have enjoyed being able to relax and potter about. I've made inroads into sorting out the last few things from our move into this house - only taken a year - but it's been good.

Yesterday was such a bad day that I gave in and gave myself a pedicure to make me feel a bit better. I filled a big metal bowl with warm water and massaged my feet with some wonderful jojoba massage oil and then soaked it off/in in the water - my feet felt so smooth and soft afterwards! Then I took my nail polish off, clipped my nails, filed them, buffed them smooth and then repainted them with lilac varnish, one of my favourites. I have a bottle of crackle topcoat which I'd never used before and decided to have a play, and I rather like how it's come out.

Pretty, isn't it? I might have to play more with these new effect topcoats and move on a little from my normal glitter.

After all that comes moisturiser, of course, and I have started using Crabtree & Evelyn's Foot Remedy. I quite fancy giving Neal's Yard Pumice Foot Scrub a try too: I think the two products will leave my feet feeling amazing! After my nightly bath I applied loads more moisturiser and the CUTEST little socks!

LOOOOOK! They're so freaking adorable. I also have similar pairs in pink and white! I love you, Primark, with your £1.50 amazingly adorable little cotton socks and lacy socks. They make my inner little girl squee with delight.

As we still had lots of snow on the ground I decided to take a bit of a walk in the garden in it and take you all lots of photos.

The first step was nerve-wracking...

...it was a bit deeper than I thought!

My poor little toes were freezing, but I love how my skin looks in the snow. I love being pale and interesting!

And look...I made a heart!

After all that it was time to go back inside and have a hot chocolate in the warm and put some extra-cozy socks on. Lush!

Now it's time for me to dash off and do some more housework (BOO) and wash the kitchen floor like Cinderella - it's a hard life!

Look out for another update later this week: it's payday soon and there are new shoes, socks and nail polishes out there with my name on them!

Welcome To The Week!

Good afternoon!

It's a glorious early spring day here at Kitten Towers and I've been able to play out in the garden for the first time this year - hooray! I have never had my very own garden to plant things in and nurture myself and I am very excited about it. Last autumn I planted lots of spring bulbs - snowdrops, crocuses, tulips and daffodils - and I am starting to see them poking their leaves above the ground and my very first snowdrops are flowering! So today I couldn't resist having a little barefoot stroll in the long grass before it gets a spring cut and I took some pictures for you to enjoy!

The cool grass felt really lovely on my soles and toes and I couldn't resist getting my feet all dirty in the mud - I like the squishy feeling between my toes!

See? Look at the mud on those toes...

...and on my soles! I could have stayed out for so much longer but it's still a little bit too chilly for getting really mucky in the garden. At least then I got to go inside and warm them up with a nice shower and a good scrub and moisturise to make them all soft and clean again. Roll on summer and more barefoot fun!

P.S: Do you like this photoset? There are more sole shots, toe close-ups and dirty heels from the set available for a teeny tiny fee (to keep me in nail polish and foot scrub!). If you would like to know more, email me on miss.kittens.feet@gmail.com xxx

Brrrr!!

Hey Foot Friends!

It's fucking freezing!

As such I've been tucked up in bed most of the day, nursing a bit of a head cold and watching movies while my little toes have been nice and warm inside my very warm but hardly desirable bedsocks. See?

I know I've been a little lazy with my posting this week but I am hoping to be back on top of it today with a double-the-goodness post for you to enjoy.

First on my agenda is...NEW SHOES!

And oh my good lord aren't they just so pretty you might explode?

Well...look how much more adorable they are with the addition of my feet in frilly ankle socks!

This is the first time I've done a proper shoes post - it turns out it's a LOT more difficult to take pictures of your feet in pretty shoes which aren't just the top of the shoe than I had thought. These shots were the best of the ones I took using the timer on my rather rubbish digital camera and a variety of household objects as tripods/extra pairs of hands/a photographer. Still, I hope they're acceptable.

A bit of arty black and white skewed angle there. Occasionally I like to pretend I don't just push the button and hope for the best!

These are easily my most awesome shoes!

Second up in my catalogue of photographic adventure is...TOES!

So far all my toe shots have been pretty standard, from above, just my tootsies on their own but I thought I would give the macro setting on my camera a whirl and see what it could do, so I have used my toes to experiment on! I am loving my sparkly blue nail polish so much that I just want to keep putting up pictures of it for you guys to enjoy!

I love the way my toes look when they're relaxed: they're so pretty and lie together so nicely. I love this shot, even though I think I need to give myself a good session with the pumice stone and the moisturiser! I had fun playing with the settings and seeing if I could stretch my toes so far that I couldn't get them all in the shot - I can - but I like this one showing them all stretched out in a fan shape!

So I know I've been a bit slack with the posts but I hope this one made up for it at least a little!

Have a good weekend!
