Thursday's Child

Welcome back, foot fans!

Well I decided you all deserved another update after I shamelessly plugged my socks and underwear earlier in the week. Thank you for bearing with me with that!

So today there has been an amazing quality of light: although it's cold the daylight has been so clear and so lovely that I decided to take some shots with one of my strings of pearls. It's made it clear that I need a new digital camera though, so if anyone has any suggestions please email me! (miss.kittens.feet@gmail.com).

I can't express how much I LOVE the effect of the creamy pearls against my skin, and I adore the feeling of them lying cold across my ankles and between my toes - and even against my soles.

The pearls emphasise the shape of the ball of my foot here and they catch the light and seem to have that wonderful inner glow. Gorgeous!

Although I'm not sure about the angle of my leg here (I swear I have real ankles, everyone, not tree-trunks like they seem to be here!) I like the way the pearls sit in a little pool next to my feet. If I trap them between my soles and rub them together it feels wonderful - just like a massage.

This is just my ultimate favourite picture though! Although it's a little blurry (see what I mean about needing a new camera) I can't get enough of the shape of the pearls arching over the tops of my feet and the strand between my toes making them look really long and elegant.

What do you think, foot fans?

Signing off for the Easter weekend now - I've got a big shopping trip planned with my Mum and niece on Saturday and Sunday is my Shamelessly Eating Chocolate day but I will be back as usual early next week.

Happy Holidays!

Everybody Wants To Be A Cat

I HAVE A MONDAY OFF! Hooray!

I'm excited because I have had three days off in a row: luxury! I might have nearly burned Kitten Towers to the ground yesterday morning (an accident I swear! Must get home and contents insurance...) but I have enjoyed being able to relax and potter about. I've made inroads into sorting out the last few things from our move into this house - only taken a year - but it's been good.

Yesterday was such a bad day that I gave in and gave myself a pedicure to make me feel a bit better. I filled a big metal bowl with warm water and massaged my feet with some wonderful jojoba massage oil and then soaked it off/in in the water - my feet felt so smooth and soft afterwards! Then I took my nail polish off, clipped my nails, filed them, buffed them smooth and then repainted them with lilac varnish, one of my favourites. I have a bottle of crackle topcoat which I'd never used before and decided to have a play, and I rather like how it's come out.

Pretty, isn't it? I might have to play more with these new effect topcoats and move on a little from my normal glitter.

After all that comes moisturiser, of course, and I have started using Crabtree & Evelyn's Foot Remedy. I quite fancy giving Neal's Yard Pumice Foot Scrub a try too: I think the two products will leave my feet feeling amazing! After my nightly bath I applied loads more moisturiser and the CUTEST little socks!

LOOOOOK! They're so freaking adorable. I also have similar pairs in pink and white! I love you, Primark, with your £1.50 amazingly adorable little cotton socks and lacy socks. They make my inner little girl squee with delight.

As we still had lots of snow on the ground I decided to take a bit of a walk in the garden in it and take you all lots of photos.

The first step was nerve-wracking...

...it was a bit deeper than I thought!

My poor little toes were freezing, but I love how my skin looks in the snow. I love being pale and interesting!

And look...I made a heart!

After all that it was time to go back inside and have a hot chocolate in the warm and put some extra-cozy socks on. Lush!

Now it's time for me to dash off and do some more housework (BOO) and wash the kitchen floor like Cinderella - it's a hard life!

Look out for another update later this week: it's payday soon and there are new shoes, socks and nail polishes out there with my name on them!

Day Of Decadence

Hello everyone!

Woo! It's my day off! I sound excited because I only have one day off this week and I am making the most of it by...sleeping mostly. And spending time in my kitchen preparing a delicious curry for myself and Mr Kitten for tea. I am a big fan of curry but haven't had one since starting Slimming World and so this is a culinary challenge for me.

Bring it on!

So I've been mostly wearing boots this last week because it's been just so depressingly cold and horrible here!

These are my most favourite boots! They were a present over winter and have served me so, so well! They're getting a little bit battered now but they are just wonderfully comfortable.

And they look amazing with over the knee socks! (Please ignore the massive massive mess in my bedroom hahaha).

I did get to spoil myself a little bit this week and have got a new nail varnish which I am going to try out tonight. It's aqua glitter, from Barry M (who make the best nail varnishes in my opinion!).

Mmmm, shiny! Sadly it's so hard to take good pictures of sparkly colours, but trust me, it's gorgeous. I decided to use a basecoat this time (as the red glitter I had last week took nearly an hour - AN HOUR! - to remove), and it's come out rather gorgeously. Look...

Perfect mermaid nails! I like this shot because you can see the little beads of water clinging on to my skin and they just catch the light. I was in the bath at the time and I couldn't resist taking some more watery shots for you all. I think I am turning into some kind of water-kitten...

My legs look like they go on FOREVER in this one! Shame about the cellulite but such is life. You can see my vast amount of cosmetic-type products here and I am ashamed to admit I love trying out new things. Especially new foot things - of course! I soaked in the bath for ages and scrubbed my soles really hard to take all the hard skin away and relaxed until my toes went pruny...and then got a bit arty with my camera...

...and tried to take fancy pictures through the water, but only came out with this one! Oh well, never mind.

Well I have a super-busy weekend of work so I will have lots of pairs of worn socks and tights to wash soon. Hopefully I will have a nice warm day - or, honestly, just a dry day - and will be able to take pictures of my two new pairs of summery shoes for you all!

Fingers crossed ;)

There's No Place Like Home

Welcome to Friday, Foot Fans!

Wow this week has gone super fast! That's what happens when you're ill for the best part of it I suppose but it still feels like I haven't done anything for the whole week. I was however quite chuffed to have lost 4.5lbs this week - more than half way to my first slimming reward of a pedicure and a new nail varnish!

It's been a bit of a long day today and I decided to relax tonight with a HUGE bottle of squash (not the same as a glass of wine I know) and a new(ish) nail polish and repaint my toenails. Not that my previous paint-job was chipped, I was just bored of the sea green and fancied something a bit more lavish! I chose a red and silver glitter, which I have only used once before, for a bit of a Dorothy-style finish.

I can't help it, I think I am part magpie! I just LOVE things which sparkle and shine and that definitely goes for my toes too!

I also rather fancied showing off the stunning new toe ring I was given as a gift: isn't it adorable? I've never had any foot or toe jewellery before so this is very exciting to me! It feels a little funny wearing it when I first put it on but I got used to it very fast and now I can't wait for summer to come so I can show off my tats and my toes and my new shiny! Hooray!

I also have a new pair of sandals to show you but as it's rather dark and gloomy outside and I wanted to take pictures of them in the long grass you will just have to wait patiently!

And now I am going to retire early to my bed and get some (much needed) beauty sleep!

Night night!

Wednesday I Don't Care About You

Happy Hump Day!

WOW but I am super tired today! It's been a long day at work and my feet are feeling it. Luckily for me I had a wonderful soak in the bath when I got home from work...

(I'm loving the seafoam-green nails in the bubbles - how cute is that?)

...and eased the weight of the world from my poor, aching heels and soles. This was partly aided by some gorgeous spa foot scrub with lots of pumice in it to keep my soles nice and supple...

...and then I followed it with lashings of the matching moisturiser which I made sure to get right between my toes.

I gave myself a good foot massage - never quite the same when you do it yourself, but still good! - and paid special attention to my heels, which are definitely suffering. For a woman with a lot of shoes you'd think I own a sensible work pair, but no. To top off my little mini foot treat session I've popped on my favourite pair of super-soft white socks to help the moisturiser sink in. Finally my feet feel refreshed and I feel relaxed and nearly human again!

I like these socks particularly because they're really warm (a bonus when you don't like chilly toes) but are so thin you can just see my tattoos peeking through them - look! I loved this shot - although you can see how cluttered my dressing table is!!! - because you can see my tattoo and my toes even through the veil of the sock - neat, huh?

And now I have happy feet again, and my beautiful pussycat purring on them to keep them cosy and I am feeling terribly sleepy so I will say goodnight and sweet dreams, lovelies!

Welcome To The Week!

Good afternoon!

It's a glorious early spring day here at Kitten Towers and I've been able to play out in the garden for the first time this year - hooray! I have never had my very own garden to plant things in and nurture myself and I am very excited about it. Last autumn I planted lots of spring bulbs - snowdrops, crocuses, tulips and daffodils - and I am starting to see them poking their leaves above the ground and my very first snowdrops are flowering! So today I couldn't resist having a little barefoot stroll in the long grass before it gets a spring cut and I took some pictures for you to enjoy!

The cool grass felt really lovely on my soles and toes and I couldn't resist getting my feet all dirty in the mud - I like the squishy feeling between my toes!

See? Look at the mud on those toes...

...and on my soles! I could have stayed out for so much longer but it's still a little bit too chilly for getting really mucky in the garden. At least then I got to go inside and warm them up with a nice shower and a good scrub and moisturise to make them all soft and clean again. Roll on summer and more barefoot fun!

P.S: Do you like this photoset? There are more sole shots, toe close-ups and dirty heels from the set available for a teeny tiny fee (to keep me in nail polish and foot scrub!). If you would like to know more, email me on miss.kittens.feet@gmail.com xxx

Back From The Grave...

Rumours of my demise have been greatly exaggerated...

Happy 2013, foot fans! I'm back, and better than ever! I have had a rather hectic three months so please forgive my absence. I'm now up to speed in taking new photos and fun things for you all to enjoy!

First up on your plate tonight is...wax play!

I had great fun taking this shot, and the rest of the set it is from, as a commission for my number 1 fan! I loved the feeling of the warm wax splashing on my soles and dripping in between my toes and the arty part of me loved making pretty patterns with the two colours! When it was all dry I scraped the wax off with the blade of a small knife, which tickled and scratched and felt lovely all over my feet - I can't wait to do it again with the new play knife I am having made! EEE! Excitement!

I've also been on a bit of a nail varnish buying spree of late: my favourite EVAH brand of varnish, Barry M, is on offer in Superdrug stores at the moment and I couldn't resist popping in to see what they had. I managed to get a gorgeous shade called 'Denim' (which is a really lovely blue and silver colour which is almost matte) and 'Ruby Glitter' which...well...is ruby coloured glitter, really!

Pretty, aren't they? I know the photo is terrible =P

I'm really pleased with how the denim has come up on my nails though; a really lovely deep blue which is just like blue jeans, only with a slight silver sparkle!

Lovely, isn't it? I'm very impressed! Once the 'new-shine' has worn off this one I am going to try the ruby glitter because a girl can never have too many sparkly things in her life! I think I might have to make one or two more purchases while the offer is on... perhaps a mint green? Maybe a sparkly pink? Oooh, decisions decisions!

And now, I shall love and leave you darling people with the promise of:

NEW SHOES!
NEW NAIL COLOURS!
FOOT AND TOE BONDAGE!
CUTE SOCKS!

All lined up for this glorious month of February! (That's a good deal: there's only 28 days in it!)

Vital Statistics!

Hello lovelies!

Well it's been a rather long, hard and tiring day today involving a huge amount of rather galling physical labour on my part - fiddlesticks, I say! Because I am honestly too tired to really think straight tonight I thought I might share some vital statistics about me and my feet with you all =)

Here we go!

What shoe size are you: I wear a UK size 4, which is a US 7, or a 7.5 as they seem to vary, or an European 37.

Barefoot or shoes?: Both! I like to wear pretty shoes when I can, but if I can't then I would rather be barefoot, or in cute socks!

What are your tattoos?: I have six snowflakes on my left foot and three sakura (cherry blossoms) on my right foot. The snowflakes are for my sister and the cherry blossoms are for my nana. I also have three others, and two more planned.

(the day my first three snowflakes were done - OUCH!)

What's your favourite nail varnish colour?: Purple - no question. I'm always on the market for a new purple shade =D If anyone knows of a good, matte lilac colour please, please let me know!

Are your feet ticklish?: Very. Having my feet tickled makes me squeal like a girl. Oh wait, I am a girl.

Do you like foot jewellery?: Yes, I sure do! Pictures of some of my collection to come soon!

How about boots?: I ADORE boots! I'm a bit of an old goth/punk underneath my mild-mannered exterior and I just love knee high boots! My faves of all time are these devastating beauties:

And yep...that's me wearing them!

What do you think about trampling/giantess imagery/crushing?: Well, it's not something I've done before but I am curious to try, although it might be a while before I'm not just jumping on strawberries in my kitchen! Watch this space for more news, as I do have a plan up my sleeve.

What's your favourite foot product?: Moulton Brown's Desert Bloom Intense Foot Rescue. Costs a small fortune but smells incredible!

Stuff About The Blog (and Me!)

I love the blog! Can I email you?: Sure, I love getting mails! My email address is miss.kittens.feet@gmail.com.

Do you sell used socks/shoes/stockings etc?: By negotiation only, but I am happy to provide my used bits and bobs if you like! Please send me an email and we can discuss it.

Do you have an Amazon wishlist?: Sure do! You can find it HERE!

I really want to see [this thing]. Would you take some shots like that?: Probably. Email me and I will see what I can do =)

Do you perform sexual services?: Hells no! I'm not a pro-Domme, I'm just a girl who likes her feet and has a camera and (some may say) has too much time on her hands.

Can I call you George?: ...if you like...

Let Me Share A Secret

Heya! Happy Monday!

Today I thought I'd share one of my hobbies with you all: I love Japanese rope bondage!

Okay, so actually it's not that much of a secret but it's still rather exciting, no? I started being tied about 18 months/2 years ago but have started tying (or 'rigging') myself in the last year. Because I'm feeling all excited about rope again, today's update is all about bondage!

This tie was done by my good friend (and excellent rigger) 'Dr Jon', when he was just a beginner! I loved the feeling of the rope between my toes but I also love when my ankles are tied like that and I can't wriggle or get away!

LOOOOOOOK how awesomely long and shapely my legs look in this picture!! Not to blow my own trumpet but GOSH! I thought these ties looked soooo pretty, too, kind of like the barefoot sandals you get in summer. This was my first ever self-tie, too, so I was kinda chuffed with them. I also dyed this purple rope, and the turquoise one in the image below, myself - so I am naturally rather chuffed with it.

One of the best things about shibari (another name for Japanese rope bondage) is the interesting and sometimes challenging positions you can get into. In this shot I like the stretch of my ankle and the contrast between my heeled shoe in the foreground and the sole of my bare foot in the background. See, it's art, even if it does have my arse in it!

One of the best things about shibari is the pretty pattern you get left on your skin after you've been untied. This is one of my favourite images of me, ever, shot by my darling friend 'Mr Pob', after he tied me. It's a really lovely picture, just in general, but I love the rope tracks you can see, and the cute little cock-eyed angle of my feet! Isn't it adorable?

So that's bondage for you! Full of fun and games and lots of being restricted - all good stuff! I can't wait to get tied again and make some more wonderful images for you all to enjoy.

Well, time for my bath!

Brrrr!!

Hey Foot Friends!

It's fucking freezing!

As such I've been tucked up in bed most of the day, nursing a bit of a head cold and watching movies while my little toes have been nice and warm inside my very warm but hardly desirable bedsocks. See?

I know I've been a little lazy with my posting this week but I am hoping to be back on top of it today with a double-the-goodness post for you to enjoy.

First on my agenda is...NEW SHOES!

And oh my good lord aren't they just so pretty you might explode?

Well...look how much more adorable they are with the addition of my feet in frilly ankle socks!

This is the first time I've done a proper shoes post - it turns out it's a LOT more difficult to take pictures of your feet in pretty shoes which aren't just the top of the shoe than I had thought. These shots were the best of the ones I took using the timer on my rather rubbish digital camera and a variety of household objects as tripods/extra pairs of hands/a photographer. Still, I hope they're acceptable.

A bit of arty black and white skewed angle there. Occasionally I like to pretend I don't just push the button and hope for the best!

These are easily my most awesome shoes!

Second up in my catalogue of photographic adventure is...TOES!

So far all my toe shots have been pretty standard, from above, just my tootsies on their own but I thought I would give the macro setting on my camera a whirl and see what it could do, so I have used my toes to experiment on! I am loving my sparkly blue nail polish so much that I just want to keep putting up pictures of it for you guys to enjoy!

I love the way my toes look when they're relaxed: they're so pretty and lie together so nicely. I love this shot, even though I think I need to give myself a good session with the pumice stone and the moisturiser! I had fun playing with the settings and seeing if I could stretch my toes so far that I couldn't get them all in the shot - I can - but I like this one showing them all stretched out in a fan shape!

So I know I've been a bit slack with the posts but I hope this one made up for it at least a little!

Have a good weekend!

Kitten xxx

Tuesday's Child Is Full Of Grace

Aloha, darlings!

Welcome to Tuesday! Things have been much better at Kitten Towers today, and I've even managed to get some things done and go into town! Hurrah! In honour of this special occasion I popped into Poundland on my way home and bought not one, not two, but THREE new nail varnishes! I only felt a very slight pang of guilt when I opened the packet, removed the nasty bright yellow polish from the three pack and replaced it with a sparkly one from another pack...

I clearly wasn't the first person to do it, however, so it was only a small pang.

So here's the shiny new colours!

Unfortunately I may have made a favourite pair of socks really quite dirty! I forget that wearing pale socks with my old, battered, beloved 50s heels will make my soles all mucky. Walking around my house (which is still being done up) with them and no slippers too won't help either. But it means I have nice warm toes!

I'm now going to tackle my rather chipped and unfortunate nail varnish job! Clearly, as I have new nail varnishes I must try them out. It's high time I trimmed my nails and took care of my cuticles and generally did a bit of maintenence. I have a little ritual when I am doing a bit of a pedicure, which means that I do things just so. I like to start by giving my feet a little soak in some warm water with a bit of bath oil in it, then scrub with some sugar scrub (which I make myself!) and then pumice them smooth. Then comes moisturiser and once that's soaked in, I trim my nails and file them to a nice shape.

I'm quite bendy so I do like to sit in lotus position and pull my feet up towards me - it's awkward for some, but it works! After my nails are shaped I get to paint them! Today I used two of my new varnishes, the blue and the sparkly topcoat, and I think they look gorgeous!

My final task is to scrub my toes super thoroughly when I get out the shower, to remove any excess polish. It's easier than trying to clean up with a cotton bud (Q-tip) and works just as well. So there we go - ta-daa! Shiny, pretty toes in next to no time at all.
